What Is Life About?

What is life really about ? I believe in a higher power, our creator, God. I've always wondered why our souls seem to be stuck in these bodies in a world with so much bias and hate. We get judged by people that have their own opinions and seem to be set in their ways. We give our own opinions to other people with the intention of helping them out, but at times turns into an argument. What is the meaning of growing up and learning from other people and forming opinions that may clash with people we never met? This can sometimes create jealousy and/or hatred. In my personal opinion, i believe we where put here to balance our life and teach our souls of good and bad and where given the choice to chose. I find in people many things i like, and it is my choice to absorb the goodness in others to help purify my soul. Once my soul is pure light and energy, i can leave this shell behind and merge with the love of the universe and become one.

This is My opinion and what i feel i've learned. I would love to hear other opinions because i will never stop learning !

First I'd like to start off by expressing my honor that you have bestowed on us here at Humanastory; I am pleased that you are here, but more importantly, I am glad you chose to share you feelings and thoughts with us by creating this journal to share your thoughts, with this said, let me dig in and give some feedback.

What is life really about ? I believe in a higher power, our creator, God.

I want to be clear here when I say this as to not offend in any way, if by chance you believe I am in error I am always open to correction, I am by no means perfect. I just don't want to offend you on your beliefs as that is not my intended process when giving my feedback, my feedback is literally, just that, my opinion and  thought.

Any issues that I might have with religion, would be with the sole thought of religion, as a whole. I, myself have been scorned one to many times by religion, I've grown to believe that religion is just another business, and they are all in the business of fleecing, the kind hearted and sweet people they claim to help (but, when one truly needs the help, they are vacant and vanish from sight). I, personally, am unclear if there is a 'God' as a result. With that said, I do not knock anyone that shows a faith in any way, as I am always open to have my mind changed - a closed mind stunts growth.

And with the bad out of the way, I must admit, I find it far to perplexing that we are the only 'real' life out there; In my personal opinion; we just don't fully understand, which leads me to believe we are just infants in the 'cosmic' scheme of things relative to space, as we barely know or understand the 'human brain'.

I've always wondered why our souls seem to be stuck in these bodies in a world with so much bias and hate.

It is extremely interesting you mention this; I too have thought this very thing. Now you have to stay with me on this one, we know the human brain is encased in complete darkness, meaning it cannot see any light. The eyes send a signal to the brain, in which the brain actually translates into what we put into words. The brain, from what I understand, only sees 'The Illusion' of the object, almost like that game 'telephone' we played with each other when we were kids. Which ties into the perception of reality and my thoughts on the soul; this in my opinion, makes me question is it our soul? Is our body just a shell - and if so, what, then, are we? I feel like I just slapped myself in the face with the contradiction.

We get judged by people that have their own opinions and seem to be set in their ways.

I feel this statement to be all to true, but I find that the most critical judge is one's self. I've learned that we are only really competing with our darkest thoughts, we tend to ignore positivity in so many ways - just look at television for my example; it isn't a calm, nurturing show that makes the money, but rather conflict and distain, to which I say, beat to your own drum and smile doing it kiddo!

We give our own opinions to other people with the intention of helping them out, but at times turns into an argument.

You know what I love best about quotes? I can dissect the sentences set by people and think critically, it is also why I use classical music at my site (that and trolls hate classical music, it requires intelligence), and with this said; I feel there is a story here with this sentence as it is all to true and I feel this is an experience shared in a blog post at some point.

What is the meaning of growing up and learning from other people and forming opinions that may clash with people we never met?

To which I say, if we have never met them, why bother caring about their opinions, I believe all life is precious, but I am also reminded of an old adage;

"You can please some of the people, all of the time, or you can please all of the people, some of the time. But, you will never please all of the people all of the time."

This can sometimes create jealousy and/or hatred. In my personal opinion, i believe we where put here to balance our life and teach our souls of good and bad and where given the choice to chose.

You are not the first person to say this, I do find this very interesting; being sent here to learn. I do wonder however, is this just a way of trying to understand events that happen in our lives, to somehow give them meaning - we are a social creature and a creature that is trying to discover ourselves; is it possible that we are just trying to explain the random acts we run into day - to - day?

It would be interesting your thoughts on this topic.

You should check out @Dave Cobbledick's site "The Spiritual Way" I feel this is his way of trying to understand the same thing; I do often wonder though, is it possible there is, evil. I don't mean just bad people (usually from the way they were raised, or have some mental disorder forcing their thinking a certain way), I mean, genuine, evil? I ask, because the truth is, one can't have an extreme like this, without having an extreme the other way, it Segway's into my final thought here;

Balance is the way of nature in almost every aspect of life.

@Jay Demello, you sir have a very unique and eclectic mind. I will be watching your journal entries with great anticipation. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts and remember, any critiques on my part are just thoughts of an old rambling man. I mean no harm in any way.

Kind Regards,
Brian

I am not offended in any way, when I say God, I'm not thinking of this one person that created man, that's really hard to believe. Our world is over 4.5 billion years old, and dinosaurs were extinct 65 million years ago. We don't even know how long they lived before that. They say God created us in his own image, but the first thing that comes to my mind is, he must have looked like a dinosaur cuz they were created before us. No really... 1000's of years ago, kings where called Gods. Rulers of the kingdoms. We've only been on this planet for a short time and we have the DNA structure cataloged and are modifying it to the point where we can create babies with blonde,brown,black hair light skin,dark skin whatever we want. We could be considered Gods ourselves.

Star trek captains always said their was a prime directive when it came to dealing with another race. I believe their is advanced races out their that follow some sort of a prime directive as well. Let people advance in their own time without any collusion from higher races.

Someone has created this prime directive that all seem to follow.  Is that what God is ? I have no idea

I agree whole heartedly. I too have a theory but it will have to be for another time! But isn't that what life is really about? Learning who we were, and preparing for who we will become. I must say, you do have deep insight;

You know, I have never thought about this; funny thing is now that I am, I wonder - were there ever civilizations more advanced then we are today, before the dinosaurs. You are right, in that we don't know, most of what we come up with is speculation.

Now you don't want to go down the star trek road; I love that show. Well, the non SJW ones (Discovery can just fade).
